naw but the NYC music scene damn near out the top 5 when it come down to major areas in rap.

Atlanta (Future, Lil Baby, Gunna)
Memphis (MoneyBagg, Glorilla, Finesse2Tymes)
Louisiana ( Youngboy, Rob49, Fredo Bang)
Detroit (Babyface Ray, Icewear Vezzo, 42 Dugg)
Florida ( Rod Wave, Kodak Black, Luh Tyler)
New York ( Ice Spice, Scar Lip, Lil TJayy)

Pop Smoke was really the young goat :wow:

I agree pop smoke had it ...

lilTjay willl be the only one Left

Scarlip will be a 1 " hit" wonder...when you first track is so aggressive you can't really follow uo with another aggressive track and you definitely can't follow it uo with a smooth track

They said this about DMX. I think that's one of the main reasons Swizz wanted to work with Scar Lip.

Of course she's not DMX, but her team is aware that what you're saying is the general industry expectation, and are likely looking to defy that.

Second drop will probably show a little more humor but she won't switch her style.

Pop dying was the best thing for his career

he was flopping left and right while alive
Pop never flopped he did 36K on Meet The Woo 2 while alive.

That’s not a flop in this era those are good numbers for a debuting artist and his profile was only increasing.

Flop is the wrong word. But his trajectory of being a star was not there
Every thing on his posthumous album was already lined up and the plan was for him to be a star he had Travis Scott’s management.

He shot up super fast dude blew up in a matter of months.

Welcome To The Party came out Spring 2019 he was dead by the top of the year 2020.

I don’t know a single soul who listens to Pop Smoke's music in NYC. And I know a lot of people.

But yeah, NYC's best MC's aren't being pushed as much as the trash is. There's so much talent in the city, but if you're not doing what the labels want you to do today, you're gonna have to figure out another way to get your music to the masses. Which isn't easy. The most listened to artists from the city right now are the wackest we have to offer. It's a sad state.
