Update: I ended up staying in north Carolina way too long now Im in Seattle been here for about 3 years but new Jersey is calling me back . I just stayed in aAir B$B in Elizabeth it was cool how y'all feel about staying in Newark and surrounding area nowadays

My family stays in Newark/Irvington where I’m from and I have since moved to Texas. With my kid anywhere in Essex County would only be Montclair, South Orange, Maplewood or the Bloomfield and down (Verona etc). Def not Newark or EO or Irvington.

to make a long story short i just got out the army and im doing some soul searching....and something is telling me to go back home before i tour the world....my fam is there my homies there...

so where is the best place to stay in newark im tryna pay no more than $800 a month....whats really good in the hood?

I almost want to shed a tear when I remember that you could actually get a spot for 800 back in 2014. Even when adjusted for inflation, that's only 1200 today in 2025 dollars.
