don;t get me wrong the music in 96 was bangin but that year was depressing, especially the fall.

yeah it really was , not only Pac getting killed...

but i also broke up with my first girlfriend after a good run together

also marked the beginning of me fukking up my credit down the line because i went on a traveling and spending binge just to escape all the bullshyt :deadrose:

so the "DARK, DEPRESSING" music of MOBB DEEP, CHILDREN OF THE CORN, THE WU, DUCKDOWN kinda created the soundtrack for that era of my life :ohlawd:

@Tuaminator @The HONORABLE SKJ I see 96 a lil differently because it was the year I graduated from High School and entered college. Plus I was ripping and running the streets heavy without any fear factor (although in retrospect that can be seen as a negative) Plus the music and party scene was at an all time high. I was having the most fun. I would say the previous year, 95, was a little bit more depressing. That year it seem like everyone I knew was getting knocked off. I remember in the course of that whole summer, about 15 people that I knew personally, all got murdered in the span of 3 months. No exaggeration.

Don't get me wrong, I give Clue his props for dropping the xclusives and shytting on BIG and Puffy with bootlegs but it never gave me the feeling I use to get when Doo Wop dropped a mixtape and had Snagglepuss and his crew spitting freestyles at the beginning.. Or DJ Rated R with the blends.. even dj sns screaming outta control. Good era.. But yea, dj clue came thru and crushed the buildings..
