AG would've died in the 90s where they routinely played B2B plsyoffs games. In the 80s they played B2B, B2B, B2B regular season games.

I give AG props for playing through his injury but the playoffs are about a grind. This ain't a vacation plus they got 2 days between games 6 and 7 anyway.

I don't know how many of my fellow old heads remember, but there was a time on memorial day weekend in the playoffs where a team would play on Sunday, and play the next game on Monday, and I'm like why not. You are in the same city and don't have to travel. Muthafuçkaz be wantin' too much time off

They played 14 games in 30 days with only a 6 man rotation. They are being held together by gum and shoestring. Makes it even more embarrassing the clippers lost to the nuggets

This current CBA is gonna make it so hard to maintain depth if you're a championship team. I can see this occurring more in the future where teams only have 6 reliable guys in the playoffs

You mean the 90s where players would stand around on both ends when possessions where dominated by 1v1s, and defenders weren't sprinting around to defend 3s?

That 90s?

Players cover more miles in today's game and they play at a higher insensity. I don't know why we need to keep going over this just because folks feel the need to remind us that the 90s had 'real men' and hard fouls.

These dudes make me feel like the 90s players were superheroes. Dudes were playing all 82 games on the reg.

before you say its about the athleticism. If that's the cause, maybe they need to adjust their style instead of taking more rest then?

400 meter track and field runners don't get to take breaks because they want to sprint the whole time, they have to pace themselves if they want to win.

Playing at 11 until you crash out from fatigue and injury, and hoping the league will compensate with more days off is not the right approach.
