Rob Van Dam will be taking some time off soon due to the way his contract was written, reports PWInsider.

RVD's contract has a clause added where he'll work in 90-day blocks, meaning he'll work for 90 days, then take some time off, and then come back to work another 90 days. There was no mention of how long his time off might be or if that part of the agreement was even set in stone.

It is expected RVD will be taking time off in October, either after the new Battleground event, or after the Hell in a Cell pay per view.

CM Punk is currently working with some injuries, reports PWInsider, and he has been for several weeks. Punk's knee and ankle are the two primary injuries, but he is said to be dealing with some other nagging injuries as well.

It's being said the attack from Ryback at NOC was meant to buy Punk a week or two off television.

In other Punk-related news, there's been several discussions backstage regarding his future with WWE once his current contract is up next summer. While it's still too early to know what Punk will do when that time comes, it is something being talked about behind the scenes.

We'll keep you posted on Punk's injury status as more information becomes available.

He's slugish, unsafe, uncharismatic, boring. Lets not pretend he's good
He still gets a pretty good reaction. When he first resigned with the E everyone on here was saying "He's the best worker on the roster".Now they're saying he should be fired.I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle.Too much past his prime to really do anything big with but still good enough in the ring and a established enough name to keep on the roster.

RVD is pretty good and the company knows that which is why they put the two belts on him in his last run and why he was able to get this 90-day block deal.
Granted that last pip promo he did was wack... but they need to stop making every wrestler do these teleprompted promos period.

Get well Punk :sadcam:

RVD has the perfect schedule for him. Go on the road and do his thing for 3 months and then go home chill for a few weeks and burn it down. I guess this all but assures that he won't get the title from Del Rio doesn't it?
