:jbhmm:Wikipedia categorizes "Hotline Bling" as R&B, Trip Hop, & Trap.

I have no idea what Trip Hop is.
I don't either but here are some examples.

Some ofIt doesn't sound much different from beats that I would hear in the late 90's & early/ mid 2000's.

They're trying to say that it originated in the UK. I don't think anything hip hop originated in the UK. Idk.

Once the fascination with prespriction drugs will fade(and it will) the music and BPM's will go up again imo..the lifestyle that comes with a lot of the music is determined by it's demographic and the 15-30 group will lose it's influence on what sound is popping.I think that dancing, actual dancing, not cerebal palsy type moves will make a comeback and the music will follow suit..EDM is king right now, trap is a close second worldwide as far as influence goes but the BPM's will have to go up to have worldwide mainstream appeal.Trap as it is has too much of a limited appeal to dominate worldwide and cloud relies on mood/style over substance too much which makes for limited listening...but thats my take on it..

Hiphop is controlled by the radio.
The radio is catered for the clubs/dancing and the ladies.

The next phase of hipHop will still have to meet tat criteria.

I'm guessing its the soulfull Hip House hybrid of Kaytraynada.

I think we're moving in a direction where the rapping itself will be less empahsized.
