Wasn't sure where to post this, so I threw it here.

Planning on finishing A+ certification early March and was wondering where to go next, Security+ or Networking.

Not necessarily looking for what's the easier one to learn, but which one would be better for an IT job?

Recommendations or tips appreciated

TLDR;

A+
Microsoft 365 administrator certs /
Network + / CCNA

------------------------
for landing your first IT job, learn active directory, DNS, DHCP, and the rest you wil learn on the job. Most level 1 position is basically resetting passwords and unlocking accounts in Active Directory

After getting your A+

I'd reccomend some microsoft certs (MD-100 and MD-101 or etc...)

you will need the Security + at a minimum if you plan on having a government contract position or working at a Security Operations Center or SOC (Helpdesk for entry level security folks)

Network + is good to study for having general foundational networking knowledge while CCNA is more valuable and cheaper, and focuses more on Configuring Cisco routing and switches, subnetting etc.

If you dont plan on going down a purely networking path, just get the Net + to show you have the basics

Ah ok, yeah I was thinking about going for Security+ next, cause a friend who does IT, said that I could learn networking on the job.

So more than likely
Security
Microsoft Cert
Networking
CCNA
