Washington Redskins-Dallas Cowboys cap penalty appeals denied - ESPN
The Washington Redskins' and Dallas Cowboys' appeals of their salary-cap losses was dismissed by special master Stephen Burbank, NFL executive vice president and general counsel Jeff Pash announced Tuesday at the owners' meetings in Atlanta.
Burbank, who is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, met with representatives of the league, players' union and the two teams on May 10. The NFC East rivals were penalized for overloading contracts in the 2010 uncapped season despite league warnings.
The Redskins lost $36 million over two years and the Cowboys $10 million.
