I'm surprised that the league didn't penalize the Buccaneers considering the fact that it was their responsibility to verify that the information was legit and that the team was actually vaccinated.

We'll never know the actual truth, but I'd bet a LOT of money as soon as the story came out they made AB get vaccinated immediately to claim he only initially submitted false cards THEN put the statement out that everyone is fine because he got vaxxed before their actual statement release.

Everyone tried to bury the story as BS when the Bucs released that statement before, but it was obvious that statement was designed to cover their ass and not AB. There's probably more players that did this, maybe not on the Bucs but it sounds like these teams were just accepting cards with little additional verification.
Crazy that Mike Edwards got caught up in it too, bet he's mad AB didn't pay his chef.
