That the narrative and you need a great QB to win in the NFL is not 100% true, Vikings, Eagles, and Jaguars all have overall good rosters of talent. I rather be them or have Aaron Rodgers have to be Super Saiyan God every game for the Packers and their :flabbynsick: roster.
Finding that QB is supposed to be the hard part that makes the rest easy, not a pass to stop trying. never signing free agents like GB does was a trash strategy and probably cost Rodgers at least one ring. imagine if they had signed Campbell & Bouye this off-season, or acquired Alshon & Jernigan.

Pats are the gold standard in that regard, Bill has a HOF QB but is always open to bringing in new talent through any venue. whether it was trading for Moss and signing Adalius Thomas back in the day, signing Revis & Browner, trading for Cooks and signing Gilmore. never content.

Yup.

The Packers in the last couple years have lost talented players like Hayward, Shields Peppers, Cook, Sitton, Lang and not adequately replaced them. Ted Thompson turned into a crappy drafter the moment they won the Super Bowl and barely touch free agency. GB is exhibit A on an organization using only the draft and no other avenue to improve for multiple years. And if the draft is your only avenue you better be drafting 3-4 starter level talent a year.

Minnesota, Philly, and Jacksonville have drafted well and added speed to their rosters. That’s the difference.

Whoever is the Saints' QB of the future, it's time to start getting him ready.

Jacksonville has somehow become the team best constructed to take on all of the marquee offenses in the league.

Eventually, the loss of Wentz will cost Philly. If he were healthy, they would have stomped all comers in the NFC and likely won the Super Bowl. And Foles is good enough to get Philly to that stage.

yup, and even the best of the best in the draft can't do that every year, it's too hard. Schneider in Seattle, Ozzie in Baltimore, Belichick, etc.. they all have drafts where they miss everything, it's part of the game.

that's where free agency and opportunistic trades fill the void. Pittsburgh is on that same "no outsiders" bullshyt like Green Bay, and they're like 6 years into trying to develop a defense without Cowher/LeBeau guys with no results. imagine if they had Campbell & Bouye today instead of the Jags, they'd be heading to Foxborough.
