Honestly, I don't think we learned a whole lot.
If anything there are a lot of questions.
The Buccaneers have battled to tie the Falcons atop the NFC South at 7-5.
Tampa plays New Orleans, at Dallas, at New Orleans and home against the Panthers.
Atlanta plays at the Rams, home vs the 49ers, at the Panthers and home against the Saints.
It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, though it appears Atlanta has the easier path.
Dallas is very good but they haven't played a great team all season. They beat good defenses in Baltimore and Minnesota...but those two have no offense. And they eked out a 5 point win against the Steelers. Actually to be fair, that was a very exciting game and Pittsburgh has looked much better defensively since then. It'll be interesting to see how Dallas does in the playoffs.
It's hard to know just how good Detroit can be. It seems like every time they are close to getting things rolling, someone gets hurt. Eric Ebron, Marvin Jones and Theo Riddikk have seemingly been dinged up all season long. Who knows how real they are.
Kansas City might be eking out wins but they've won something like 19 out of their last 21 games or something. So it's hard to call it luck. That defense is legit and can take it to the house on any given play. If they can get Spencer to run like he did early in the year, they have the tools to stretch opponents with their speed.
I'm curious to see if Adrian Peterson comes back...and what (if any) difference he makes to the Vikings offense. The defense is still legit no matter what struggles they've had.
I'm hoping really bad that the Browns get that W next week against the Bengals. Hue Jackson needs this.
People need to quit running with this nonsense...
When they played the packers...they had the number 1 ranked run defense...
When they played the ravens...they had the number 1 ranked defense overall...
When they played Washington...they had the number 3 ranked offense overall...
When they played the Vikings...they had the number 1 ranked defense overall...
So thats the number 1 defense...the number 3 offense, number 1 defense AGAIN...back to back to back...
IN 12 days...:yeahok:
Find me another team in the nfl that played 3 straight games against a team that was top 5 on one side of the ball back to back to back?:yeahok:
They beat the Ravens...tied for their division lead
They beat the Steelers...tied for their division lead
They beat the Packers...tied for second in their division
They beat the Vikings...tied for second in their division
They still have to play the Lions...lead their division
They still have to play the Bucs... tied for lead in their division...
Between those 6 teams at least 3 will make the playoffs...
But every week it's..."the cowboys haven't played anybody":yeahok:
