Lonzo is too timid.
Point blank.
Most of the time he plays, he plays as if he's thinking about playing, instead of just playing. I understood it in L.A. Everyone isnt built to be a franchise centerpiece and he was thrust into the franchise player role for arguably the most prestigious and popular NBA franchise in history. Oh, and he had to follow the act of that guy named Kobe Bryant. Magic doing his best impression of Lil' Jon & Don King didn't help, neither did Lavar for not recognizing his son wasn't going to be able to swim against that big of a current.
But N.O. was a fresh start.
He still plays like he's afraid of messing up a play, turning the rock over, or missing a jumper. He's had games where he just went out there and played ball, letting the chips fall how they may, but that happens maybe a handful of times per season. Don't know if it's nerves or sheer passive nature, but it ain't the move. Brother plays like a 34 year old veteran on his way out the door with a leauge minimum contract.
