This really. I'd also say it's not a place to travel to if you don't have a local connect. I can see some area boys snatching you up fukking around in the wrong part of town at night.

Abuja or Lagos are the cities you should stay in. Boko Haram is in the North so you really do not have to worry about them. Nigerians are really open to foreigners so you will be good. Yoruba, Igbos are just ethnic groups, you can know which is which by the language they speak. If you can survive in the Dominican Republic, you can survive in Nigeria. Just make sure you have a local with you so people do not take advantage of you, cuz once they hear that American accent, they will think you are swimming in dollars.
