I think it'll get better as eventually economics will trump ethnic favouritism. PDP ran Atiku to fracture PMB's vice grip on the Northern vote. Although I don't care for either, Nigerians are slowly and quietly wisening up.

The speed at which the world is changing Nigeria will HAVE to get up to speed or it'll be swallowed whole.

Yeah I think so too but I went there last Christmas I see alot of people over there are not willing to change just blames the government for everything they don't know they themselves have to chip in too in order for the country to grow.

Nigeria is an artificial state, the colonial system was fractured and divisive. The Nigerian leaders afterwards did very little to change this. I think Nigeria will slip back into military dictatorships, the wealth gap will cause more problems later on. I can’t see things getting better as a united country, unless some great politician appears that can play all sides and tackle corruption/neo-colonialism . I personally think Hausa-Fulanis are too stuck in their ways and obsessive about Islam. I say this as a Fulani, so don’t drag me.

Hausas, Yorubas, Igbos; the cultural differences are too vast- especially up North. I’m not sure how things will get better with this dynamic.

Divide the country. If the Hausas want to live like Afghanistan, let them...in their own Arewa Republic

Things might stay the same or get worse. I don't like Buhari but Akitu would not hesitate to sell government assets to the french.

Only hope is Sowore and he's not getting elected so yea.

Nigeria needs a good politician that can play both sides very well. That and a sound Economic minister that will be given large autonomy for the Economy.

We both know that ain't happening unless they get Lagos. If they go their own way they're landlocked. They have no industry and will essentially turn to a Niger or Chad. They need the South for the oil. The southern leaders need to use the resources they have to develop quickly and strongly.

Look at Lagos, for the most part, it doesn't need Nigeria. It's standing on its own two feet. When Calabar, Warri, PH, Enugu, Owerri and the rest realize they have to work amongst themselves, then they'll be good. Right now politics even regionally is too fractious.

Southern leaders got NDDC and did nothing with it.

Southern leaders can't even get together to create railways that operates regionally.
