Nike Inc.’s market capitalization is down $3.4 billion since the company released its latest ad campaign featuring controversial quarterback-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick.

But it’s not all bad news. The latest estimates put the value of the media exposure from the campaign at more than $163 million, according to Apex Marketing Group -- almost four times the $43 million tallied in the first 24 hours since the ad debuted.

Apex characterized roughly 40 percent of the publicity as positive, 30 percent negative and 30 percent neutral.

Nike’s stock was up as much as .94 percent Thursday as of 10:13 in New York.

I hope Kaep sees a nice lil percentage of that :obama:

Nike's investment in him now makes financial sense for them so he'll have permanent major backers in his fight against the league and he'll also have a larger platform to speak from.

:mjlol:

You do know Nike is the official jersey and apparel sponsor for the NFL through 2028, right?

This is marketing for Nike, they dont want anything bad to happen to the NFL.
Im happy Kap is getting a check, but my view of Nike hasnt changed because of it.

They're contracted so this means Nike still gets the NFL money, but you are wild if you think they didn't take this shyt as an insult. They're buying ads during tonight's game and throwing the man who's suing them into their opening weekend. I guarantee you the NFL is in full panic mode to shut it down.

Kaep matters standing matters to Nike now which puts them at odds with the NFL. That should be an obvious thought on the face of all this.

Trump supporters will use this line to say Nike has lost 3 billion dollars since they pulled their support.

Nike is paying the NFL for the exclusive right to provide apparel with their (Nike's) logo not the other way around. The NFL isnt paying Nike one red cent.

If the NFL went under tomorrow it would be a huge revenue loss for Nike.

"Backing" Kap extends to the amount of product he can help move by capturing the "woke" audience. Its a commercial move by Nike, nothing more.

You really think a company of that size and history has a conscience?

Don’t know if your being sarcastic but these young boys are buying air monarchs as the new dad shoe.

Monarchs are at the height of their sales currently.
