My old mechanic used to call BMWs (Break My Wallets) because everytime people came into the shop with them, people always asking for deals or neglecting maintenance.

I know a girl that just got a 08ish C class Benz, she's gonna be in for a rude awakening when she brings it into the shop for the first time

I got away from Luxury sports cars for the practicality (and because I got tired of folding myself into them). Most of the affordable ones are just flex-mobiles with more BS and more expensive fixes.

If I need to haul something can I?
If i need to move something large can I?
If i need (to bail because shxt went left can I?
If i need to pack more than 2 people in the car does that work out?

These days everyone needs a go bag and a platform that is multi use, (relatively) easy to fix, and is flexible.

Luxury sports cars are fun, but most people dont make the money required to spend 50k-100k on a transportation that is primarily "fun".

High octane fuel isn't better for your engine in terms of maintenance, it just allows it to produce more energy.

Gas is definitely something not to skimp on, not even just talking make sure it's 91+... certain brands aren't up to par despite having the same octane.

But on the flip, you have to know what you're getting gouged on too. My car, the dealer charges $500 for an oil change. I take it to an around the way spot and it's $160. Same with brakes, as long as you get the right brakes. Changing them is not a $1000 job.
