It had great games. But looking back, I prefer the PlayStation.

The textures on the N64 were just shytty as fukk. So despite it pushing more polygons than the PS, the games all looked muddy as fukk. And the cartridge format really held it back especially in terms of sound.

It’s a shame that we didn’t get the Nintendo PlayStation. shyt would have been lit.

Nah n64 really was a classic

I even keep mine as a collectors item
For every game on the N64, the switch has a better game

Tears of the kingdom and Breath of the wild>>>>>Majora's Mask and Ocarina of time
Mario Odyssey>>>>Mario 64

N64 was a classic console. There were too many games that simply elevated it to GOAT status.

Mario 64
Zelda OOT
Smash Bros
Mario Kart 64
Goldeneye
Wrestling games
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Banjo Kazooie
Star Fox 64
Diddy Kong Racing

All goat games.

PS1 though was a better console and just had a bigger library. It's funny because if I was forced to choose between PS1 and N64 even though N64 was a goat console, PS1 was better.

Nah man too many games, too much variety, and the most multiplayer friendly with 4 ports. Not everyone had it at first but towards 99/2000 we'd bring our own controller with us for GoldenEye, Smash, or Mario Kart/Mario Party. If you were solo it had the open world single player heat like OoT/MM or Banjo Kazooie.

Controller was cheeks with the joystick issues but there was some novelty to it. You're right it's one of the most nostalgia heavy systems but the more you think about it the more you realize it had something for everybody.

None of this is accurate except for Smash and even then the style of these games has survived through to this gen from the 64 era and you dont recognize the influence?

I was kinda thinking this yesterday. It maybe only had like 8 good exclusives, but at the end of the day there were some of the best games of that generation.

:gucci: The disrespect

N64 was probably the game me and the family and every kid in the neighborhood played together. It was a bonding console. I’m a Sony PlayStation head til I die lol but you’re going too far off the deep end OP
