A routine sports bar debate over whether who is the better basketball player, Michael Jordan or LeBron James, turned ugly and resulted in three people being stabbed. The sports bar was the Ba’Runi Hotel and Grille in the Pittsburgh area.
“LeBron James and Michael Jordan, who’s the better basketball player. Because one of the guys had a LeBron James shirt on. Another patron of the bar had a Penguins shirt on and then ultimately ended on the Steelers, and they’re not Steelers fans,” Harmony Township police chief Jim Essek said.
The police chief said that when they were in custody that they were “definitely under the influence of alcohol.”
The bar’s owner, an employee and a patron were all stabbed and are all expected to be alright, thankfully. An employee said that this incident wasn’t reflective of the establishment.
The two suspects, an uncle and nephew, were arrested. The uncle is being charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and simple assault, while the nephew is being charged with several felony counts of attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
