The Truth
Anytime a Black person gets to talking about “my roots are xyz” and trying to make all Black Americans out to be the problem when it’s just some of them, I just automatically tune them out.

Mothafukkas are so deeply rooted in self hatred that anytime they see Black folks being degenerates, they automatically go into attack mode towards the whole Black American community like the cowards they really are.

This is exactly why I keep my circle very small and only deal with like minded people.
“Nothing new under the sun”

Sounds like the whole world needs to get on the same frequency for a long-term change

Even Harriet gave up on some black people

History will remember who didnt give up

History will not remember you. Black people who stay in this country will eventually be assimilated and your history will be white washed out of existence.

Your only hope is in those of that choose to leave decide to tell Aesop Fables about the tragic tale of "The Octaroonians" formerly known as black americans/FBA/ADOS. I make no promises, some history is better off forgotten:respect:

she was married to him but for a brief period of about two years. she married her black husband and started a family with him but he was emotionally and physically abusive which led to her mental instabilities.

my point is that her choice of partners by those calling her a bedwench have nothing to do with the merits of her arguments. critique the arguments because her choice of partners are not going to provide the "gotcha" that you all want.

Before we can change we have to confront an uncomfortable truth — that Black people are still deeply mired in self-hate. Many of us. And we can never learn to truly love ourselves until we face that truth.

Black people dont even know our true self in order to have self hate. We hate the g.m.o'd creations that the white man has created in this artificial zoo called America. I would say thats a good start. But unfortunately that hatred manifest in ignorant ways because we dont have the proper guidance. We have prophets they get crucified,we have leaders they get assasinated,we have messiahs they are given life in prison.

They arent being raised by the borg.

they are being raised by human beings with their own agency that happened to be black.

Are you saying that because they are black, their blackness caused them to attack the black mother and her child

Until yall understand melanin you wont understand our affliction. Our blackness plays a major part in our disfunction, not only in America but globally:respect:

I get that white supremacy and capitalism is the culprits but eventually there’s got to be a point where we understand we are all we got at the end of the day. Like right now with how white people are crashing out amongst each other this is an opportunity for blacks to come together and strategize how to maneuver to benefit ourselves. As long as cacs are on this planet it will always be a fight.

This is obvious. So obvious that black people have been fighting for hundreds of years including during the years that Nina and all the other black intellectuals tucked their tails and ran to other continents.

It’s easy to talk shyt when you have resources at your disposal to get you far away from the misery that would await you without those resources.

fukk her and all the other cowards.

Nina's a legend, I take her position as a person who became frustrated and disappointed with the direction Black people took after the Civil Rights Movement came and went, leaders were assassinated, murdered and then Black Power leaders and groups such as the Panthers being neutralized and ultimately collapsing, drugs (heroin, crack, etc) taking over the streets in Black communities among other atrocities.

I always kinda get look at her similarly to Billie Holiday, y'know they're both from an old era (1910s, 1920s, 1930s, etc) of Black America, and y'know, Black people in the late 1800s, early-mid 1900s treated each other differently in her days; witnessing how Black people were treating each other in the, 70s, 80s and 90s probably was devastating to her eyes, and therefore felt the community wasn't the same anymore, which led her to be disappointed and somewhat disgusted, the Black community she knew/loved was gone while this new version she was witnessing was unrecognizable.

Obviously, there are things to consider when it comes to certain declines, things in and out of our control, that took place within the community post-Civil Rights Movement. She was speaking from disappointment rather than out of hate when she said this, and in her mind, she probably felt Black America was beyond repair from some of the things transpiring, since the community was much different during her heyday.

This some cats on hear have selective hearing and want to just focus on all the divestor talk she said not knowing the history of this women. You might not agree with all her points but what she was saying in beginning it’s hard not to disagree with. The sad thing about black civil rights leaders is a lot of them get torn down. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Fredrick Douglas, Harry Belafontaine, all get their fair share of slander.

Because they got exhausted. She was still a voice in the civil rights movement that has done alot more for black folks then you ever did and you to sit here and call her a coward as you type on your keyboard and hide after you probably finished watching a porn scene of your favorite pawg.
