Circling back because I actually listened to her whole interview. Unfortunately, her big criticism is Democrats can't win the gerrymandering battle AND it would ultimately negatively affect black people.
How many times on this very board do people say "We are already targets?" Between that and never giving a concrete answer to what people and the Democrats should do outside of idealistic answers was telling.
She wants a general strike. Me too. However do we know what that looks like? Everyone in the strike would want to be sure they don't lose everything during said strike. Do hospital workers taking care of sick people strike? While we are striking, where does the food we all eat come from? General strikes are not fast and the stopping of the economy mean people will die.
Long story short, she is one of those people who are great at pointing out problems but speaks in ideals to solve them. She basically gave the "Tangibles" answer to who gets voted for if in 2028 we are in the same position and Kamala or anyone pops up. She took Dems to task constantly, said multiple times in the face of the hosts asking about what Republicans are doing that it was the Dems fault, doesn't adequately address the fact that while she keeps saying the Voting Rights act is important to her (Republicans are currently trampling it) that she doesn't want Dems to gerrymander because...it would trample the voting rights act

She talks about how important democracy is and glosses over Van saying that Democracy rings hollow to Americans and they voted FOR this in November (Remember the criticism against Dems running as the "Not Trump" party?) but keeps talking like we can preserve it while name-dropping black political figures from bygone eras.
She is a progressive and I am a progressive. She speaks more like a suggestive than a progressive because she wants the hardest road for everything. It's telling that they had to reiterate multiple times that while Republicans are undoing EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW, shes taking Dems to task for things in the past and not offering anything people can act on now. Anyone of sense knew that regular people would eventually have to become activists to fight this but that doesn't mean we will win, much less in a reasonable time period, while the foundation of America is torn down by a game show host.
The one thing she mentioned that I agree wholeheartedly with is organizing locally but guess what: local politics is affected by national issues. If my states #1 crop export is corn and you tariff us into unsellable goods, we can't politically insulate. Trump is organizing troops nationwide to occupy cities. She speaks like we can activist our way out and does so using the very same talking points that didn't get Kamala across the threshold in November. Don't take her seriously on this topic. The youtube comments concur because she was buggin.
