I hope this is true. Would be nice to have Nintendo as a viable option since IMO neither ps4 or xbox are dropping any heat right now.
I think where they can really innovate is if that handheld part of the system would double as a controller and a smart phone.
I doubt no grown man wants to walk around with both a cell phone and a gameboy. But if the phone can play games like Zelda with great controls, modern graphics, with internet control
Who would pass that up.

I'm not buying it, unless they're planning to drop this console like three years from now, give it a solid gap a la Xbox and Xbox 360. Any sooner and they'll shyt on their own fanbase unless they plan to support it with low-res ports of their next-next-gen console games.

These things take time and the fact that its going to be a hybrid like @NZA and I have talked about could be interesting.
I think Nintendo will learn and drop that stupid "Wii" branding for good...it was a damaged brand name back in 2009 and its mind boggling that they released another console with "Wii" in it.

Nintendo needs to realize that they need to listen and work with developers more than they ever have.
They can follow the PlayStation model because Nintendo makes GREAT 1st party games. The best combo is a list of great exclusives + all the multiplats.
Also, for the love of GOD...fix that AWFUL online setup they have across the devices right now

i dont believe this is real, at least not for any time soon. wii u is failing, but nintendo is not going to damage their credibility by abandoning the 5-6 million or so people who already bought it. nintendo does not want to start looking like sega.

If anything, the market is over saturated with adult games that release too many sequels in a short time span.

If those fakkits didn't half ass on that garbage Wii U with the specs, they'd be aite since they'd get comparable PS4 and Xbox 1 ports. They also need to get the dikk out of their asses and embrace online.

Mature rating doesn't even really mean "adult" anyway. Little kids play those same games all day, every day.
People accuse of Nintendo having the same franchises, but they release a game once (or twice) per console generation. We only have 4 smash Bros games-if you include the upcoming Wii U game-since 1999, Only have 5 3D Zelda games since OoT (1998), and 5 3D Mario platformers on Nintendo consoles since 1996. They are the definition of quality in a market filled with ADD people that must have guns and sex in every game.
Face it, people hate Nintendo on every little thing.
