Nintendo will be around longer than Xbox and PlayStation

smarten up nas
Nintendo is racing towards home console irrelevancy. Pretty soon they'll only have a niche audience that buys their consoles. I know if it wasn't for Xenobalde I wouldn't own Wii U. Hell the Wii U is on track to sell worse than the Gamecube from the looks of it.

Nintendo games just aren't appealing to a lot of gamers anymore.

It has nothing to do with graphics. Nintendo just has to start bringing some new ideas to the table. Mario can't do it anymore:manny:

Gamers need to stop being on that first-person shooter phase and be open to new ideas that doesn't involve a damn gun. That is why the console is dying in Japan and bankrupting all small and mid-sized third party companies in the US.

Nintendo has been pumping out mostly the same core franchises for decades so what new ideas are you talking about? Shallow gimmick controllers? A Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Yoshi's Island? These are the same games that have been coming out since the SNES / N64 era. Many older gamers are burned out on them. Perhaps instead of yelling at the wall for being in their way Nintendo should walk around it.

When Nintendo did those things, gaming was at its prime. Now, there are more former gamers that tuned out of gaming as a whole due to the stagnant behavior since the OG XBox hit the market. I mean, how many more yearly Call of Duty games can you play before you are :ld: at it? The gaming industry is shrinking in Japan and that is deeply concerning because they made the Nintendo systems and Sony Play stations. Whatever they do, America is not too far behind. The crash of gaming will be caused by lack of variety and lack of innovation. If it wasn't up for Nintendo, the industry as you know it would be done. @hexagram23

If it was up to Nintendo we'd still be playing on cartridges with no online gaming. Which of the Nintendo systems saved home console gaming? The Gamecube? The Wii? The Wii U?

The Japanese market transitioned to mobile and portable gaming. That's what they prefer.
