I like that they still try.

emulation and in return… pirating, is what leads to games feeling disposable and devalues the medium. Its What happened with music
What kind of bootlicking, shyt-for-brains, corporate trash is this?

Talk that shyt to Game Pass and to a lesser extent, PS Plus for having people get free games on a sub. That's what makes games feel disposable.

Emulation is preservation, making sure history is accessible to whoever wants it, often with improvements over the original version, like upscaling. Try to play a DS-Era Pokémon game right now and see if you can do it without getting your pockets ran by scalpers and collectors.

You a whole bytch :pacspit:

No.

the average person walking the street has no idea how to run an emulated game or that such a thing even exists

these are actual gamers who got burnt out and took matters into their own hands, blame the studios for releasing half of the game and then bleeding consumers dry with DLC to pay for the other half :yeshrug: logical people got tired of that scam.

Even with music in 2025, the vast majority of people on this site don't even know how to download music anymore, they pay for the streaming services even though they know the artist ain't seeing none of that money, you're better off paying for show tickets + merch if you wanna actually support the artists, can't pirate that.
