Brock's stint in New Japan is something I force myself to forget. Absolutely nothing good came out of it..well, maybe forcing New Japan to push Tanahashi after Brock left them out to dry.

And this wasn't even on New Japan even, just a shytty IGF show that took advantage of Brock's fukkery with the IWGP belt :scust:

A lot of people forget about Brock's New Japan run and how bad it was.

He really wasn't a draw and even did a bad number at Sumo Hall with Akebono who was a legit draw at the time. (7,500 and that was the Simon Inoki era where they lied about attendances.)

Meltzer said on the Lapsed Fan that Brock had a similar deal to what he has in WWE now in terms of limited dates and he was getting paid a lot per match. Once New Japan told Brock that they wanted to lower the pay out for him per match, he no showed the match against Tanahashi.

Here's the poster for the match before Brock no showed.

Yup. It was a complete flop. And Brock was underwhelming as fukk in the ring too.

It took me a while to go back to being a fan of his when he came back to WWE. His New Japan run was :scust:

:snoop: Inoki was so awful & senile, he legitimately almost ran New Japan out of business during that whole awful time. It was one of the worst times in wrestling ever. :blessed: Tanahashi.
