I know most people are down on the idea of NJ creating a California territory, but As a west coast resident I Selfishly want their territory here. its such a risky move though I worry that they'll be able to pull it off.

Either way we're gonna see some fireworks in the next few years and that's exciting.

A territory? No, I don't think that's a good idea right now especially to be stretching talent from Japan to the U.S. But having more straight up NJPW shows here in the states is a wise move. I can see the west coast and the east coast eating it up. I'd like to go myself.

I don't think middle America would fukk wit it tho :patrice:

The "territory" they want to do is very small and will focus on trying people out so they can send to Japan. It's gonna be very similar to the Inoki Dojo of the early-mid 2000's. They are gonna run small shows. They are not gonna be sending their tops guys regularly either, they'll probably make a few trips a year and it's not gonna be the whole roster, rather a couple of wrestlers.

Now, they are also looking for a TV deal. I have no clue what's that about because if that's based on only their US operation then they can't be doing small time shyt.

What's the size of the venue????

It's pretty big, it can hold up to 10k for a convention I think. New Japan has a set up of 3,000 per night so they sold 6k for both days. I imagine they are gonna change the set up and add more seats though I'm not sure by how much.

They're running in one of the convention halls which can hold at least 5k.

I'm so :mjcry: that I didn't get a ticket. Didn't expect it to do this well.

It really seems like they are gonna add more seats or add another date. Makes no sense to leave any money on the table if you're flying a whole crew over. Here's what they wrote on the njpw site

You fans are demanding that New Japan Pro Wrestling deliver and we are listening. We are working feverishly to meet the incredible demand for these events. We will have more major announcements coming. Please ensure you are checking back to NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING for the latest updates regarding these historic events.

Gonna wait to see what Meltzer says (Observer comes out today) but at the very least they could add that top perimiter of seats

So... anything?
Basically there are about 800-900 Tix for each night that were held bacc;

Between 4,300 and 4,400 tickets were put on sale for the two shows combined, so about 2,150 to 2,200 per show. The remaining tickets were held back for VIPs and if need to, to be sold at a later date. There will be about 3,000 people at both shows total. The company got its first report about 14 minutes after tickets were on sale, and the ticket outlet considered it already sold out, as there were only scattered seats not taken and shortly after, they were gone, with even the individual scattered singles all gone by the two hour mark.

They need to add them asap, no need for 800 VIP comps:camby:
