Funny how once this thread was posted, Scherzer came back down to earth, Cole started shytting the bed, and Kershaw started doing Kershaw things.

Kershaw and Greinke are gonna finish 1-2 in some order. Maybe they'll get tired of giving it to Kershaw and throw Greinke a bone.

I agree, for me it's a toss up between Greinke and DeGrom (60/40 Greinke) with Arrieta coming in third.

At the time cole was like 12-3 with a 2.02 era but arrieta is having a historic 2nd half and made a strong case to win the cy young

after that no-hitter I said to myself "it's a long shot but if he can string together nothing but mega quality starts (defined as 8 IP, 1 ER) to close the season and get his ERA down to Greinke's level, it's his"

and that's exactly what he did (minus a game here or there where he didnt pitch 8)
