Nah, it's definitely going to be released, they'll do it in the same way Elite Dangerous did with expansions later on.
The game is playable right now and pretty fun even without landing on planets.

What I mean is that I don't think they will ever stop adding stuff to the game, so their won't ever be a "finished" version of the game...
It just makes to much sense to never finish it...
I mean they have raised over 100 million dollars for the game...don't see why you wouldn't keep doing that...
