Saying Rakim is the GOAT (Or a GOAT contender) is like saying The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Martin are two of the best black sitcoms ever. No need to mention it, we already know :smugdraper:

Personally I think Nas is the GOAT, but I wouldn't argue against Rakim. He sure as hell deserves to be in the discussion.

first rakim song i ever heard was on the 8 mile soundtrack (trash) second was on the first saints row game (zzzz)

To me, the only stain on Rakim's track record is "The Seventh Seal", and that album was only average... even so, it's still better than some of the wack albums released by other legends like Kane ("Prince of Darkness" and "Daddy's Home") or KRS (any album dude's released in like the last 6 or 7 years).
