Man, I tried to cord cutting route. But I just could never get consistent streams even with kodi. Bit the bullet and got me dish network - which is really good for the two sports I mainly watch that is NBA and college football.
I successfully cut the cord (once) and can get access to anything I want for free. Ballstreams is the place to go tho
With that said, cable companies will charge you more for your internet if you cut the cord. The bandwidth limits they have in place (250gb per month) are not enforced if you have cable. Long story short, they are not stupid and can see what you download. If you cut cable and your GB per month begins to sky rocket. THey will enforce the limit, throttle your speeds, then "offer" you a better deal at a higher price. I went from paying $75 a month to about $100 and was free to eat as much as I wanted.
Then you see the advertisement for triple play for less than $100 and you realize they not gonna let you win cutting the cord brehz

I now pay $120 and have every channel...
