I've always supported this idea.

but i also had concerns

large business look for any reason to increase inflation and price gouge. Best believe everything will be rounded up far more than it actually needs to be if this happens.
Prices aren't just going to rounded up from $99.99 to $100.00. they are going every excuse to round up to nearest nickel. So things that cost .91 Cents are not going down to 90. They would instead go up to .95 and so on.

So we will essentially be paying little bit more for everything. That adds up over time.

So if the federal budget is 6.75 trillion, muskrat will be saving roughly 2 thousandths of our budget. That's .002

:unimpressed:
The primary reason we haven't done this, is because economically the impact would be hardly noticeable.
We would be spending a tiny bit more on everything for essentially no added benefit. other than no longer having to deal loose change.
I think it would be nice, but its not really that big of deal. You don't actually have to use hard currency right now if you don't want to anyway.
