I no you have Jay z, who took off in NY after biggie got killed, but his continued relevancy kind of neuters that argument.

But for 50,

He was everything white Eminem fans need at that time. A black "cool" rapper with a lot of street cred. I know 50 had a lot of black fans, but the main reason he rose to superstardom so quickly is because of Eminem's fanbase.

I also think that's the big reason he is struggling now.

Then why didn't D12 niqqas solo projects move units :mjpls:

Why didn't the other 2 artists out of Shady/Aftermath blow? :pachaha: (Cashis and that Stat Quo)

A LOT more than Ems fanbase helped dude. The fact he was prolific with hit music played just a small part ;)

I agree....

But I still think Jay-Z timing was perfect..

After both Biggie and Pac went out it was wide open.

But 50 came at a time when rap was getting too sweet, to many R&B/Rap songs and shyt..
