I think you're missing the fact that Alex was given all those chances. Kap will be sat for the first time and is pretty much considered as being gone at this point, Alex got sat and promoted again and again season after season.

Also Alex never showed the promise and ability that Kap has already shown. Kap had 2 great seasons and is being shipped after 1 bad season in terrible circumstances.

He's really not though, because the majority of the reports and the rhetoric from the head coach were "He's taking a step back and a breather" and reporters have said it might be a 1-2 week thing with Tomsula himself saying its week to week with the starting QB.

Alex got sat, Alex also took a paycut to stay on this team. The only reason he got his job back was because the other options were horrendous, if Gabbert is terrible i`m sure Kaep will be back too

Until week 11 last year he had a career rating of 93.2. But I guess 5 bad games with a collapsing team around him after that is good enough to get the boot. Those are the breaks. We know how it is. It kills me that the team has gotten so much worse since 2012 and folk on some "regressing" shyt even though he's thrown for more yards and improved his completions. He's not at that level where he can elevate bad teams. None of these younger qbs are. Kaep was top 10 QB rating in the league this time last year

I saw Kaep destroy Green Bay single handedly (well not alone but he was a good part of it) in the SB run they had. If he can get a coach that can lead him away from read option to a decent hybrid spread, I think all this regressing talk will cease.

A QB of any race needs a decent team around him. All pieces have to be at least decent. Can't have good WR's with no line that will give you the time to get the ball to them or allow you to wait for them to break contain. Can't have a good line with receivers with no heart or hands.

The 49ers have been forced to rebuild early, and their smartest investment is to bench Kaep so he doesn't get injured, so they won't be forced into moves they're not ready for. Kaep is not the blame for what's going on, so he's just going to have to work on his game and ignore doubters, while letting Gabbert become trade bait.

Not only that but until Harbaugh got there Alex never proved he could go to the playoffs and then on top of that perform well. There is no black QB who is getting drafted that high gonna be able to stay on a team for years and given opportunities and not be able to get to the playoffs.

Yeah I know that the 49ers sucked but that shyt doesn't matter when the QB is black. He better perform and get that team to the playoffs quick or his ass is grass as a starter and player on that team.

He is better off doing the Kordell Stewart role as Slash. Full time QB isn't going to work. Decent defenses can figure out SackOrPick.
