I'm not a big fan of their style. These guys no selling their big spots actually kill the heat of their own matches and I think a chunk of viewers will burn out from their shyt if they keep doing this. It's one thing to go full indie when you're not on TV all the time, but doing it on a big stage could wear on people.

But one interesting thing I've noticed is that the Bucks aren't dumb. Them and Kenny aren't going to come out the gate winning and holding all of the titles. They want to build good will with the talent and keep the "anything can happen" feeling on their show. Too many fans nowadays are smart, and being the Kliq 2.0 could backfire on them if it's blatant and it could make them come across as marks for themselves behind the scenes. I think what's going to happen is in kayfabe they're going to start losing more of their matches and realize they are not "Being the Elite." Marty comes in, they go gang gang, turn full heel and superkick party everybody to put themselves over as bad guys who just don't give a fukk and always cheat. You do that, yet play up hard to the crowd for boos, and it will get you cheered in this era.

Fans are backwards because they've seen so much of the generic babyface stuff that being the bad guys is what's entertaining. That's how you make a tweener faction that's over. Whereas right now they're kind of boring and have no real characters, seeing them return to a Bullet Club-like phase will let others breathe and develop in the beginning, and then give them a space to turn this into NWO 2020 before you know it.

Little bit of a difference between The Kliq in 1995 and The Elite in 2019.

Everything has changed in the business, of course. But if you hold all the titles and you're calling all the shots, it's going to look the same to a lot of people.

Kliq in 95 was looking out for themselves and their best interests financially. They were in no way running their own wrestling promotion like The Elite is doing. You figure they've learned from seeing the reigns of terror from Triple H and Jeff Jarrett.

i honestly don't have a problem with their matches, i hate their characters and their superfans. The young bucks are extremely corny. everything from that stupid pose, to their sideburns to "the elite...the the elite". It's extremely corny. Their core fans are super annoying and act as if they are above critique.

I like them. I dig their style. I also like methodical, psychological wrestling.

The most entertaining thing about the Young Bucks (who should always keep the name, by the way) is that, they can bring the house down by doing their greatest hits, but there’s also this tongue-in-cheek self-awareness that they have about themselves and having a character/schtick never gets old to me.

Their entire persona is essentially that they’re so hated by traditionalists that they turn the obnoxiousness ALL the way up. Also, a lot of the things they’re so over-the-top with are ideas that originated with guys that would go on to constantly rehash those things even as they got old (i.e. the Kliq), so you get excessive crotch-chops and superkick spam.

You also see them target people who think they sacrifice psychology by being too flippy and ridiculous. Their answer: roundhouse back-handspring up a ladder to....a back rake or The Meltzer Driver where the name basically explains the ridiculousness of it all...but the execution of it is arrogant because not everyone can pull it off like them. Their synchronization is amazing.

Acquired taste, but I think they’ll get people to come around now that they have all these eyes and platform where they can delve into actual stories. Actually expected them to put Private Party over because, as the trend seems to be with them, Omega, and Page, they want to go left where other companies went right.

On a completely random note, I always pop ever-so-slightly for how they exit the ring during fast transitions. It looks unique with their gear, they’ve been doing it forever, it just stands out like the way Farooq/Punk would leave the ring after a match.

TLDR: They’re solid wrasslers in their own unique way.

TSC was shytting on midget cac flippy shyt a couple years ago now they love it

:unimpressed:
You just love making shyt up. I see the majority of people in here saying they dislike all the spot monkey and flippy shyt the Young Bucks do and it's always been that way. Pull receipts on posters praising all this flippy shyt that aren't from known trolls or Young Buck stans. Being entertained by the flippy shyt doesn't mean people love it either.

Respectfully..... I don’t think it’s right to say its “their style” where you pretty much see that same shyt everywhere from Main Stream to indies.

Like we a week away from Breh getting his skull crushed by a chair, then had another chair on his skull and crushed again, then still with the chair on his head had a loaded toolbox (with real tools flying out of it) slammed into his head..... AND THEN FINALLY with the chair still on his head having a sledgehammer hammer slammed into his head.

Only for 3 mins later him to reanimate like nothing happen, destroy Seth Rollins leaving him bleeding, walking out no selling NONE of the shyt that just happened to him.

Braun is another one that can get destroyed but comes back no selling anything he’s nothing.

Then that Japan Strong Style is probably even with the no selling (though people love it a rarely complain). I can’t find the gif and hopefully someone can post it if that Naito/Ibushi match where Naito hit a move on Ibushi worse than anything we’ve seen the Bucks do (that’s getting called out). Damn near breaking his neck, but moments later is like that shyt never happened.

There are too many other examples to show that’s kinda the way things are, aren’t really a YB or Indie thing, and yet still no one has burnt out yet.

Don’t even get me started with AAA Triplemania shyt:mjlol:

I don't mind too much flippy shyt but my beef is how they (and the rest of the Elite) sucked ALL of the juice out of the Bullet Club. Surprised they don't get more flack for that.
