"...they're too scared of getting played."

I saw this quote on Instagram the other day and was like :ehh:

Usually I ignore IG bullshyt but this one has some truth to it. Of course EVERYBODY ain't cheating but I see it a lot with nikkas my age.

All I hear is having options, how you can't trust nobody...if that's the case yo ass needs to stay single :stopitslime:

I always hear "You don't know what he/she is doing, just do you." Or some shyt like that.

Why is that the first thought? Why jump to the conclusion that your partner is cheating?

this thread can really flourish if members here really take a good look at the media we consume and the insecurities it breeds.

every rapper raps about fukking someone else's girlfriend and Black men listen to these songs and seeds of insecurity are planted.

here are three songs that are perfect examples that I can think of off the top of the head that help destroy and subvert black relationships.
our music and culture has been poisoned and used against us.

Some people go into relationships with expectations of their partners cheating... it really makes no sense. If your first thought is that "they gonna cheat anyway" then why even get in the relationship?!? :mindblown:

Insecurities breh:manny:

Everyone wants to be the one who got the drop on the other.

They dont want to be the one left looking like a sucker, so they disrespect the whole relationship, in essence fulfilling a whole cycle.

Its usually easy to spot people with that popular social mindset, and its a red flag. Never ends well.

it's in all of our best interests to try and understand why this is.

we don't want to be cheated on but at the same time, we don't want to be alone either, so we get involved in dysfunctional relationships.

social media makes this problem even worse.
