Well id expect more from them in terms of classic material than 40 year old rappers that are trying to hold onto their days as leaders for the culture. Its over for them.

you expect more, cause you've had 15-20 years for these 40 year olds first sit to age and have listened to it for the majority of their careers.


these new rappers aren't allowed to drop classic albums in their own right, cause they'll always be compared to albums we've been listening to for 15-20 years.


in 2013, as soon as an album drops...it's either trash, or classic....and then you gotta compare to all the other classic albums ever. We don't appreciate music, cause we consume it at such an insane pace these days.

rapper A drops a great album in 2013, and people go instantly run to compare it to things they grew up listening to, and have been listening to for 15-20+ years....and can't figure out why it's not the same.

Yeezus is an abomination and MCHG was average at best. Jay Z hasn't had a great album since The Black Album and Kanye lost me after The Late Registration.
