3stacks was in decline once the 2000s came. Its not fair to discredit rappers who put out much better music this century just becuz he was still around. Really this whole thread is disrespectful to Big Boi. We just gonna act like 3stacks was a solo artist?

I would say he was cruising but not in decline. I still dont see anybody better than him after the 90s. Hiphop/rap as a whole took a nose dive so him being a 90s carry over would easily be tops.

Nothing against Big Boy, but I feel Dre is better lyrically and artisitcally. Dre has written ALL his material and cutting edge innovation and sound to add to his credit.

Im not saying he's the best of all time BUT I would put him in the discussion. After hearing some old school albums, artists like Kane and Rakim are in the discussion for top 3.

If we're talking about 3 stacks as a lyricist, then you can make a case without including Big Boi. But if we're talking about the songs as a whole, it would be disrespectful to Big Boi.

I also think that by Andre not doing much solo music he didn't suffer from lyrical fatigue that many rappers suffer from. He didn't have much filler.
