How about a film on the Dahomey and oyo selling my ancestors to the white man
How much of your Goat-ganda/Pan Africanism persona is an act? This question sounds like what a high school kid would say, not a middle aged man who currently resides on the continent.

Many of the rebellions in the diaspora were lead by enslaved ex-soldiers who were prisoners of war and sold into slavery, INCLUDING members of the ethnic groups you mentioned.
The island that your family is from, and the one mine is from would likely have genetic presence from both groups. That complicates your slanted question, doesnt it?
You mean a film on the rulers and merchants of nation states who made those decisions, not entire ethnic groups .

This is why I think AI might be necessary in terms of visual development it would definitely lesson the budget needed. Me and my sis already have a few crazy screen play ideas. Imagine a movie where everyone is speaking their native language fluently to convey their ideas properly or to converse with their pantheon?

Some great actors and actresses that come from the continent and are then trained in Britain or the US. If they are at the forefront, I can see the quality of Nollywood movies increasing drastically. What I have seen so far though is not at that point, and are more along the lines of Tyler Perry offerings, which are poorly scripted and acted in my opinion.

I've given a few movies suggested to me a try, and I came away unimpressed like I have when I tried some Bollywood movies.

West Africa has so many dope mythologies. They can literally do a show based on the Iwa, Loss, Orisha etc. and involve kings and warriors. They missing out

I've been saying a movie just based on the Orishas alone is well overdue.

I was also watching the movie Hero that came out back in the early 2000s starring Jet Li and an African version of that would be so dope. We need a huge scale movie based on an ancient African kingdom.

Good to see but man, Nollywood content is probably the stuff I enjoy the least from the continent.

Kenyan/SA stuff?

Way more enjoyable to me.

Hopefully it's a rising tide situation tho.
Nollywood does a lot of propaganda shyt I’m also not too fond. Has me looking like this :mjpls: at them sometimes
