Short story long...
I loved Breh's story. He put time in Trucking, safe record, only 2 companies. Really really hard worker
Because to be honest, we only take experienced drivers, so I knew he had the qualifications that was needed. Job salary ranging from $120k to $130k
But the problem is dude sucks ass and one of the worst I've ever trained. At first I was giving him grace because this is a niche part of the industry, and there is a learning curve. But damn, it's like I'm speaking German to the Breh or something. Training is very thorough and a requirement
First day we were picking up a load for a customer local in the city, driving the 18 wheeler. We were making a right turn, I was in the passenger seat. When I tell you he almost hit a light pole and 2 pedestrians

. I didn't say shyt to upper management because I wanted to look out for the Breh and let it slide
He hit the road on the highway. Driving straight, he's cool, he told me he drove Cross country before so it makes sense. He told me he got a girlfriend from Thailand, and wants to save up money to for her surgery. Didn't tell me what type, but I didn't want to ask further
Then when we arrived at the car dealership to pick up the cars to haul, dude almost hit brand new cars in the lot. That's when I knew it might not be for him, and had to let him go
Do you think I did the right thing?
