Being childless is why I am able to do stupid shyt occasionally with my money, flood the 401k, take ages to finish my degree (don't be like me), and impulse buy $1k+ once or twice a year.
With what is coming, I wouldn't want to have to worry about a child and how I will navigate with them.

I sleep in one of my kids room and when he’s out of it I sometimes look over and think
Then he wakes up and asks to watch Star Wars with me, we go on bike rides, read books and I learn about the world again. It’s amazing to see him grow each day, learn new words, new skills and this is all before he is in proper school.
Then I realise how it has helped me heal as a human and as someone who did not have a papa growing up. So I try and do better by him and myself.
