Plan's confidence is not a facade imo but neither was BJS's. I'm expecting Plant to do about as well as BJS here. More athletic, less slick, more stationary target than BJS. He can win a few rounds early on but eventually gets walked down and punished. His defense on the inside isn't it, can't hang with Canelo there and he won't just flat out box Canelo up from range either, it might be competitive while it's long range and gets one sided as Canelo finds his way inside and Plant gasses out even quicker than usual from the body shots.

Canelo by stoppage in rounds 7-10 or so...

Stylistically, size etc I see Benavidez winning though. Styles make fights. :manny:

I think canelo walks him down easy I don’t think plant has the power coming off a broken hand to slow canelo down from moving forward or making him think it’s going to be a problem. Plant moves well likes to establish his jab early I think he goes to the body well. He has to land something with cruel intentions to make canelo think twice. I can’t see him moving around and out boxing Canelo for a full 12 especially when canelo comes forward. It will be a good fight though

I didn't know about the broken hand either. That's significant.

Plant hasn't show any sort of late round bursts or memorable heart/soul in his last 4 fights either. Seems to slow a little every round, like most fighters i guess (exceptions with Loma, Crawford, they got extra gears etc.)

If Plant had shown an extra gear i'd be more inclined to say he has some chance.

Without that i'd put this at a 20-25% chance of walking away with the belts.
