Nothing breaks a family up like funerals

Maybe it's just me or what I've seen, but got damn the fighting and arguing at/around funerals be brutal. If it ain't over who gets what, is over who did what and so on. It's sad,a person's death is painful enough and it's like at funerals everybody airs out all the stuff they been holding in. I remember breaking up fights between cousins at my grandmother's funeral

Too many people dying intestate. That brings out the vultures faster than anything. If the paperwork is in place then people can say whatever they want, it just is what it is at that point.

It's deeper than that. I had close family try.to flex on me during funerals over dumb shyt. I had to cut a few off. Funerals are no joke

Heavy emotions? Check
Unresolved issues with a loved one if they died suddenly? Check
People in varying stages of grief? Check
Tons of people who may not have seen each other in years due to personal reasons? Check


Yeah funerals are a breeding ground for fukkery. Anybody you cutoff or don't fukk with in your family will be there and it's not even a festive occasion like a wedding or something so y'all can pretend to be happy to see each other

My ol lady grandmother literally just passed and her whole family on Facebook legit threatening each other and posting about pull up SMH

I would say land I got family members who don’t fukk with each other over land. My friends great aunts and uncles been fighting for 20 years over land
