The bulk of the enslaved Africans sent to the Americas were Kongolese.

The Kongolese converted to Christianity (a syncretic blend) well before the slave trade as essential trade partners to the Portuguese.

In fact, most of the rebellions in the Americas can be traced to the Kongolese who could speak/read/write European languages and understood how the White man moved.

Eventually, Europeans banned the importation of Kongolese slaves due to these factors.

Ill concede that i didnt know of catholic origins of the congolese but some research shows that it wasnt “most slaves” but probably around a quarter.

It’s one of the main reasons we aren’t progressing. Black Christians are brainwashed. A bunch of “what would Jesus do?” and “turn the other cheek” head asses. Christianity is a Western religion and was used as justification for colonization in Africa.
