Yeah that makes no sense to me. Play should be dead right there if it's not a kick

Are you unaware that in college football, if you possess the ball and your knee is down, you are down?
Except it doesn't apply to the holder, quite fukking obviously, otherwise every FG there is would be blown dead

So now I must ask you, have you ever seen a fake FG before? :dwillhuh:

Obviously it doesn't apply to the holder because he's holding for KICKS. Look at my other post where I suggested it should be dead if a holder is trying to advance the ball toward the end zone with his knee on the fukking ground.

Of course I've seen fake field goals, I just think it doesn't make sense that the rule just doesn't apply in this case. They should at least be expected to get off the fukking ground before tossing that shyt forward

I never seen that kind of fake before. It's either the guy gets up and run or drops for a pass. Never seen him pitch the ball with his knee on the ground
Then ya'll gotta watch more games :manny:

Just googled fake field goals and every one of these involves the holder making a play from his knees

So it's a bad snap, the play is broken, the kicker obviously isn't going to kick it, blow it dead right there on the spot then, huh?

dunno how the actual rule is written, but in college if a runner has his knee on the ground its a dead ball. if the holder is doing anything other than holding and his knee is down, it should be blown dead yes. unless its specifically stated difference in the ncaa rule book
