Notre Dame's back up Malik Zaire is better than starter Everett Goldson

I saw Malik Zaire and Everett play in Notre Dame's spring game - and Zaire looked better. He looked like a real quarterback going through his progressions, stepping up and throwing accurate strikes. Although Golson showcased a stronger arm, he also looked shaky and inaccurate. I'm certain Zaire has better poise and pocket presence. He has more QB potential but Everett's game could translate to more wins. That's why Kelly is going with Everett even though Zaire deserves to play.

Do you buy it now that Zaire beat out Golson? Zaire is a special passer. He has better pocket presence, poise, touch and accuracy than Golson right now. He scans the field decently and is athletic enough to take off if necessary. I await the upcoming ND season eagerly. Zaire could play himself into NFL discussions. He's that good.
