Now 2 years later...Your opinion on GTA 5

I was disappointed in the online. They had that shyt looking like cocaine but the execution was poor as fukk namely the atrocious load times and terrible split playlists.
They need to just design one gameplay system that works and keep it that way. All that locked aiming, soft aiming and no aim assist playlists that splits up into 2-3 dozen playlists not including free roam made finding matches a chore. The gameplay in Max Payne 3 was simply much more satisfying for me.

Consoles would be a 7 and PC gets an 8 strictly for the loading speeds. I played it on XB recently and got damn like 80% of the online experience is loading. PC more than halves the time. Other than that online is great.
Story mode is eh, seems like they had story mode seriously be about the story. Characters aren't as fleshed out outside of Michael. The pacing is faster not having some events soak in.
The NPC drivers are horrible. They are pretty much oblivious of the player. Speaking of, they got the nice mix of arcade and GTA4 driving realism down. They should have the Midnight Club team turn the driving into a subgame. Modding cars should have a more noticable effect on cars.
IDK, with SP DLC it would be better in terms of story arc. Franklin fell off early in the game and the Michael-Trevor story was too railed. Online needs longer jobs/more heists.
At it's core I think it's better than 4, cuz 4 felt like a high def last-trilogy game. 5 feels like the generation jump. But the story is much weaker. Everything is good. Online mode, animations, graphics, shooting mechanic, the driving, and so on.

I still play online now and then but IMO they really dropped the ball there.. Servers are garbage, matchmaking is atrocious, and the heists while some aspects they got right for the most part were a huge let down
Hate the fact that you need four players for every setup mission even though I can nearly solo all of them by myself, plus you have to start over if someone quits or dies
Definitely dislike the lack of customizations when it comes to personal vehicles
Would have preferred a smaller map if it meant more open interiors
Missing elements from previous GTA series such as cops and crooks from part IV.. There should also have been a freemode option without police, just a huge sandbox style deathmatch where money/ranking etc. didn't matter
All in all it has been a huge disappointment.. I swear I had way more fun playing GTA 4's multiplayer

liberty city was bigger than los Santos, the map was terrible
claiming to be bigger than 2 red dead redemptions and we had 30% Los Santos... and a 70% of map that no one bother visiting during story mode
just awful
and GTA4 Online was way better

Can't fathom how anyone can prefer the GTA4 online. The small streets, lack of objectives, poor driving, etc.

I diagree. There is like zero good offroading area in 4 and the streets are too small. The water is borderline useless. At the very least you get both road and air space when not in the city in 5. There's just so much more that can be done. Importance is up to you but in terms of activities the 5 map blows 4 away.
Unless you guys are playing it like real life and taking the train everywhere I can't see how 4 is any way more enjoyable as a map than 5.

Only weak aspect is after you beat it there's not much to do.
But it's a contender for GOAT game
