There isn't a keep up with rap kinda thing anymore imo. Thats how you become a hater, listening & commenting on things that weren't meant for you in the first place.

There's a number of artists I still check for. I make sure to check all their new work and try to listen to as much as possible to check it out. There's a lot of dope Hip Hop being dropped and some great artists, am enjoying them.

I know a lot of artists and check the ish of the ones I like normally as quickly as possible. Always check for legends and new up and coming artists with skill.

It's really interesting hearing the new talent and evaluating and enjoying the music, checking everything from production to lyrics. I love the music so much it's not a chore to me, it's interesting and enjoy the music. Only thing that ever becomes a chore is checking out some wack shyt for research purposes but I sometimes do that to to check it out and see what's going on exactly. Good shyt though is interesting.

There's a lot more dope artists around than people think. Just some people unfortunately won't listen to anything that isn't fed to them or there isn't hype around. Being that I don't care about none of that shyt I just listen to shyt I like the music wise.

most the music nowadays isn't touching the classics that's for sure, there's just very few albums that have a lasting appeal. i'm currently just listening to Dave East & Lloyd Banks' new projects, there's just too much garbage out there that i don't consider being "rap music".
