Uh, you do realize that Maine is just the 14th state to join the agreement, right? At the 2010 Census, 94.4% of the population was non-Hispanic White, 1.1% non-Hispanic Black or African American, 0.6% American Indian and Alaska Native, 1.0% Asian, 0.1% from some other raceand 1.4% of two or more races. 1.3% of Maine'spopulation was of Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin.
I mean, history shows us white people change the rules whenever they want.

The first one was Maryland. Among the others are Hawaii, D.C., California and New York. This isn't some "white people" thing. It will GREATLY increase the power of the Black vote, as right now all the small white states (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota) have way more power than they deserve, while the Black vote in most of the South counts for almost nothing at all in presidential elections.
I hope you're trolling. The federal goverment imposed their will on the states by free the slaves. If they had left it to the free market, the civil war would have been avoided and slavery would hace phased out naturally.

That NeoConfederate argument has been roundly destroyed by economists. Slavery was solidifying and would remain for the foreseeable future. I'm actually NOT a Civil War fan, I think it backfired in the end, but Southern Whites needed to be forced to give up slavery, they sure as hell weren't going to do it naturally or willingly.
