For myself its

1. Demons Souls - it was the first, and nothing duplicates that first time playing a souls game. I still rank it as my favorite bosses.
2. Bloodborne- I love the focus on more aggressive play style and The atmosphere and horror setting almost puts it above demons for me.
3. Dark souls - a worthy follow up to demons but it didnt have the same impact as it was more of the same.

4. Dark Souls II- Easily the worst of the series. The hit box when fighting was just off. The boss fights and atmosphere was easily the worst of the games. Everything about this game was just not up to par, no dpubt because the director of the series wasnt behind the game.

Only played Dark Souls and Bloodborne

Gonna get Demons Souls soon.

Dark Souls was great, and had a lot of armor and items to create different builds and characters, as well as a few more stats.

The bosses and interconnected world was mind blowing to me at the time.

Bloodborne less so with the stats, but each weapon has very unique move sets. I actually like less magic because mage's were WAY OP in Dark Souls and the game was clearly designed to be a melee focused game.

I also think the build variety in Bloodborne has been a little understated by Souls fans as they didn't take the time to see what upgraded weapons scale with what stat, or that you can change virtually any weapon into an elemental only weapon. For instance one of the best weapons int he game scales best with arcane and skill. Two stats almost no one upgraded.

Most people didn't try a Skill build(dex), and arcane build, a bloodtinge build, or a beast build, or any combinations there in. Almost everyone seems to have done strength, vitality, or endurance.

Also Bloodborne's armors are basically for fashion, all viable. But it is advisable to switch between high phys resistance, poison resistance, frenzy resist., arcane resistance, bolt, etc.

Dark Souls had more armor customization, but I kind've like Bloodborne's trim the fat approach honestly.

Overall I preferred Bloodborne's smooth gameplay and atmospheric world, as well as story if you're into the lure over Dark Souls.

But it's def close. Some Souls purists are gonna put it last though because of the changes in formula.

DS2 with DLC > DS1 > DS2 vanilla > Demon Souls

Dark Souls 2 with all its DLC is fukking massive. I get the hate, but I can't agree for the most part.

Haven't played Bloodbourne yet. Still waiting to see if they'll fix the long load times.

They're worse in certain areas, but it's not all that detracting from the game.

Really only got annoying in one area towards the end for me. Other than that I never even noticed.

But for me its Dark Souls, Demon, DS2. I really have no beef with any of them but I played Dark souls before demon so it just stands out more to me. I have DS2 below demon cause It didn't hit me like the other souls titles. Maybe at the time I was over saturated by that type of game but I still enjoyed it.

I've been working on a dex/bloodtinge and a pure arcane build. The only thing is u need to run thru all the chalice dungeons to get the best gems if you wanna pvp. It can get tedious but the game is so good that I don't mind.

That bone hunter must be dope for pvp.

Also that look like a message arcane :banderas: They walk up and think they getting a tip, then bam slash slash slash.

I'm gonna try em out later. I've only been in 3 pvp fights.
