It introduced Multiplayer beat em up gaming to the masses 
I be forgetting that too often. But I peeped the cover art. And instantly emotions I once had as a kid came back to me
You could beat this game with a friend, and go right back to stage one to do it again
Then I look at stuff like this...
I used to be all about this type of stuff. Look at all the characters
(Thats how I'd be back then)
You compare it to todays gaming, and say a game like Tittanfall. Its awesome.
But it won't HAVE ME like these games had one at one time.
No game can. Not games of the caliber of today. And arcade titles that try to make games like these?
They just not deep enough. They don't have th mechanics, and the games are usually not nearly as deep
So we get shallow knockoffs of a once great genre
Two Player gaming was so great once it became the norm. Online gaming was great too once that started on consoles and is why the OG Xbox >>> PS2 imo
I lived thru both transitions. Double Dragon II's impact tho >>>>
