It's more complex than that. It would certainly improve conditions, and may help overall in our economic situation. Unfortunately we'll never have reparations, largely because of Raphael Lempkin. He helped make genocide an international crime, and the United States won't acknowledge two genocides, to then have to pay for reparations. Even worse, all of the perpetrators are dead.Give 'em some money and they'll be good, how appropriate an article given what's going on today.

The most helpful thing the government can do for blacks is to literally stop helping us. The war on poverty is a failure. The welfare state is a failure. Let us realize our destiny through liberty and economic freedom.

Actually, you could make a case that every minority racial group in America can and should get reparations. Not just blacks or natives. And that's utterly sad.
